Individual Therapy

A Warm, Collaborative Space for Healing, Growth, and Deeper Change

Individual therapy can be a place to slow down, feel understood, and begin to untangle what’s been weighing on you—often for much longer than you’ve let yourself admit. I offer individual therapy in Ventura and Santa Barbara, California for adults who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck in familiar patterns, emotionally disconnected, or ready for deeper healing beyond insight alone.

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental. I believe therapy works best when we work together—not when a therapist tells you what’s wrong or what to do. You are the expert on your life. My role is to help you listen more deeply to yourself, understand what’s beneath your symptoms, and gently create space for meaningful change.

What Individual Therapy With Me Is Like

Whether this is your first time in therapy or you’ve been in therapy for years, we will move at a pace that feels safe, respectful, and attuned to your needs.

Therapy with me isn’t about forcing change or rushing the process. It’s about cultivating a space of safety, curiosity, and self-compassion, allowing growth and transformation to unfold naturally and sustainably.

I work with people who are:

  • New to therapy and unsure where to start

  • Returning to therapy during a life transition or emotional crisis

  • Highly self-aware and “insightful” but still feeling stuck

  • Interested in trauma-informed, depth-oriented healing

  • Wanting therapy that goes beyond coping skills to real transformation

Therapy for Insight and Healing

Many of the people I work with understand why they feel the way they do—but still feel stuck emotionally or in their relationships. If you’ve tried therapy before and found that insight alone hasn’t led to lasting change, you’re not alone. At the same time, I warmly welcome clients who are new to therapy and are seeking a supportive, grounding space to begin.

I specialize in helping clients move from:

  • Understanding their patterns → actually shifting them

  • Talking about trauma → gently healing it

  • Managing symptoms → feeling more whole, grounded, and connected

Modalities I May Integrate Into Our Work:

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help you understand and heal different “parts” of yourself with compassion rather than judgment

  • EMDR Therapy to process trauma, distressing memories, and deeply held negative beliefs

  • Somatic Psychotherapy to work with the body and nervous system, not just thoughts

  • Depth-Oriented Psychotherapy to explore patterns, attachment, and unconscious dynamics

  • Traditional Talk Therapy for reflection, insight, emotional support, and meaning-making

An Integrative Approach Tailored to You

I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Each person’s experience, goals, and nervous system are unique, so we’ll collaboratively explore different therapeutic options and decide together what feels most supportive. Over time, we may integrate multiple approaches—such as talk therapy, somatic techniques, or creative practices—based on what emerges as helpful for you. You don’t need to know in advance what you “need” from therapy; part of the work is discovering that together, at a pace that feels safe, respectful, and attuned to you.
